The retail chain operator D-Mart has reported its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2022. The company’s consolidated net profit for the quarter was Rs. 658,71 crore, an increase of 2.46% from the same quarter of the previous year. However, the decrease in sales in apparel and general merchandise had an impact on margins. The company’s net profit for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year was Rs. 642,89 crore. Overall, Avenue Supermarts’ revenue from operations increased by 19.74% in the first quarter of 2022, reaching Rs. 11,860.44 crore. This represents an increase of 18.24% from the previous quarter. D-Mart will be focusing on strategies to increase sales and improve margins.
