The Directorate of Education, GNCT Delhi, has issued a directive instructing teachers and staff to refrain from using mobile phones in areas such as classrooms, playgrounds, laboratories, and libraries – all crucial spaces for teaching and learning activities. This move is expected to foster an environment conducive to concentrated learning and meaningful interactions.
Recognizing the importance of immediate assistance, school authorities have been directed to furnish helpline numbers that students and parents can readily contact during emergencies. This step underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of students within the school premises.
In an ambitious move to broaden the horizons of its students, the Delhi government has launched a pilot project introducing French, German, and Japanese languages in 58 government schools. Initially targeting students in Classes 6 and 7, this initiative aims to prepare them for the challenges of an increasingly globalized professional world.
