The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow has been confirmed as the conducting authority for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023, as stated by a senior official to indianexpress.com. The official notification for CAT 2023 will be released soon on the official website iimcat.ac.in.
Professor Sanjeet Singh, Chairperson of Admissions, has been appointed as this year’s exam convenor, and he confirmed that the CAT 2023 notification will be issued by the end of July, following the usual timeline.
In the previous year, the CAT entrance exam was conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) Bangalore. The registration process for CAT 2022 had begun in the first week of August, and candidates were given time until September 14 to complete their application forms. The deadline was later extended to September 21.
Admit cards were released in October for the exam that took place on November 27.
During the previous year, candidates from the general category had to pay a registration fee of Rs 2300, while candidates from reserved categories were required to pay Rs 1150.
CAT is a national-level MBA entrance examination conducted annually for admission to MBA/PGP courses offered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and other B-schools in India that accept CAT scores. The exam consists of sections on quantitative ability, verbal ability and reading comprehension, and data interpretation and logical thinking.
