Javed Ahmed, the AAP leader from Sohna, has been accused of allegedly masterminding and giving orders for the brutal killing of Pradeep Kumar, a member of Bajrang Dal, during the Nuh clashes that occurred on the night of July 31 and August 1.
Kumar was successfully rescued from the Nalhar temple, where he was taking refuge with several others. He was later brought to the Nuh police lines for safety. Unfortunately, he met his demise while leaving Nuh for Sohna late that fateful night.
Reportedly surrounded by a mob of around 200 individuals, Kumar was purportedly killed based on directives from Javed Ahmed. As outlined in the First Information Report (FIR) lodged on August 2 by Pawan Kumar, a mob launched a vicious attack on Pradeep Kumar and other Bajrang Dal members who were accompanying him, all under the alleged orders of Javed Ahmed. The complaint detailed that on the night of July 31, around 10:30 pm, the complainant, Pradeep Kumar, and fellow Bajrang Dal activists were driving home in the complainant’s Swift Dzire car. They were being followed by two other cars belonging to Bajrang Dal members, accompanied by a police van for protection. The police escorts left them upon reaching the Sohna road, assuring their safety.
The situation took a grim turn when a Scorpio vehicle started tailing their car, intercepting them on the KMP highway. Suddenly, a mob of approximately 200 individuals emerged, pelting their car with stones, causing the car to lose control and collide with the divider. Pawan Kumar was compelled to exit the vehicle, and Javed Ahmed, who was leading the mob, allegedly shouted, “Kill them all, I will take care of the consequences.”
Pawan Kumar recounted that while the police were rescuing him and taking him to the hospital, he witnessed the mob attacking Pradeep Kumar with iron rods and sticks. Despite being rescued by the police and taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, Pradeep Kumar succumbed to his injuries. Javed Ahmed, who holds the position of state coordinator for AAP’s minority cell, previously contested the Sohna assembly elections as a BSP candidate and later joined the AAP.
