Tragically, heavy rain has already resulted in the loss of two lives in Mahabubnagar district, Telangana, where two girls were washed away in an overflowing stream. The downpour has led to flooding in low-lying areas and disruptions in road connectivity in various parts of the state.
In response to the situation, the Hyderabad police has requested IT companies to conduct a phased logout of their employees to prevent traffic jams and ensure safe travel.
Meanwhile, in Karnataka, the weather department has issued warnings to people in coastal regions, advising them to avoid areas prone to waterlogging. Additionally, they have been urged to stay away from vulnerable structures that may collapse due to the continuous rainfall.
